It is intended to be the replacement for [[F2PAddon]], which was created primarily to allow users of Starter Edition accounts to both chat and form groups with each other, although it has been expanded over time to provide a few other features useful to S.E. players.

The major difference between the two will be that SEAddon no longer requires players to be in your friends list in order to chat with them. However, this is such a major change that the addon will need to be rewritten from scratch.</rev>

* Cannot obtain more than 10 gold. Veteran accounts may have over 10 gold, but will be unable to earn any gold until they have less than 10 gold.
* Cannot use public chat channels, such as /yell, /Trade, /LocalDefense, or custom made channels.
* Cannot join guilds, or sign guild charters. Veteran accounts can join a guild, so long as a character on the account already joined before their subscription lapsed. This will allow them to use guild chat, and tarde items through the guild bank (TBC).
* Cannot invite other players into parties (although they may be invited into a party by a subscribed account).
* When the server population is high enough to cause a login queue, S.E. accounts will be placed behind full accounts.
* Cannot lock XP. <span class="red">Veteran accounts that had locked XP prior to their subscription lapsing will become unlocked</span>.
* Primary trade skills will be limited to 100 skill points. Veteran accounts may have higher skill points from when they were subscribed, but will not be able to use recipes requiring over 100 skill points (TBC).
* Secondary trade skill are limited only by their level requirements, or the gold cost to train them.</rev>
